Redditgaming.com is running a SourceForts server (with help from our friends at Ryan Kearney) for the first weekend of March, and you can join us for a bit of fort building fun. The server will go live on Friday night (March 5th) and will be open through the weekend until Monday (March 8th).
SourceForts is a multiplayer capture the flag mod, for the computer game Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. Two teams, red and blue, construct forts made from metal cubes and panels to protect their flag, while attempting to break into their opponent's fort to steal the enemy flag. Hop on the server to try out this unique game-mode, play with other redditors, and have a good time. We will be running a variety of maps, all which are available in the map pack below. Yes, and No. If you own Half-Life 2, you likely already own Half-Life 2: Deathmatch. Check your steam, and you're good to go. If you don't have Half-Life 2, you can still get Half-Life 2: Deathmatch for free if you own an Nvidia or ATI graphics card. Chances are if you have a dedicated GPU, then you are eligible for a free copy. Click the corresponding logo below to find your free download. If all else fails, it is available for only $5 on steam.
After you've got Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, download the newest soureforts client from below, and run the installation. Once it completes, restart steam, and the game should appear in your game library.
